Everything most small business owners want to know before signing on. If your question isn't here, just reach out. John replies to every inquiry personally within 24 hours.
01
How long does a typical website take to build?
Most sites go live within 14 days of you saying yes. We design from scratch (no templates), build, do one round of revisions, then point your existing domain at the new site. The 14-day clock starts after you've sent us your content and approved the page count.
If your project is more complex, like heavy e-commerce, a large content migration, or custom integrations, we'll give you a realistic timeline upfront before you commit.
02
Do you work with clients outside Sault Ste. Marie?
Yes. We're based in Sault Ste. Marie, but the subscription model means we work entirely remotely with small businesses across Canada. No in-person meetings required. Everything happens via email, a video call when useful, and a short onboarding form.
Whether you're in Toronto, Halifax, Calgary, or a small town in northern Manitoba, we deliver the same way.
03
Can you work with my existing brand, or do you redesign everything?
We'll build your website around your existing brand. Your logo, colours, fonts, and identity stay exactly as they are. You don't need a full rebrand to get a better website.
The goal is a fresh, modern, SEO and GEO-optimized site that looks like the business you are today, not a forced identity change you didn't ask for. If your brand is dated and you want a refresh as part of the project, we'll happily quote that separately, but it's never required.
04
What if I don't like the design?
You'll never be stuck with a design you don't love. If the first concept doesn't land, tell us what's wrong and we'll come back with two more options, this time tailored to your feedback. That gives you up to three different directions to choose from before we finalize anything.
A note on content: you provide the text, photos, and business details for the initial build, and we make small content tweaks along the way. Bigger content changes that come up after launch are exactly what your monthly subscription is for.
05
Do I own my website after you build it?
Honest answer: no, and that's how we keep the upfront cost so low. The subscription model means we host, maintain, and update your site for as long as you're a client. If you cancel (30 days written notice required), the site comes down at the end of your subscription period.
The trade-off is real: a traditional one-time agency build runs $3,000 to $6,000 and you own it outright. With us, you pay $500 setup plus a manageable monthly fee, but the site lives with us.
If you ever want to buy the site outright and host it yourself, just ask. We can work out a price. If owning your site from day one is non-negotiable, we're probably not the right fit.
06
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Yes, it's the entire model. Every plan includes hosting, SSL certificate, uptime monitoring, and monthly content updates. Plans range from 1 update per month (Starter, $97/mo) to 3 updates plus a monthly blog post and performance report (Pro, $297/mo). Maintenance isn't an add-on. It's the whole product.
This is why the subscription is worth it over a one-time build: a "finished" website goes stale within a year. A maintained one keeps showing up in search results, keeps loading fast, and keeps reflecting your business as it changes.
07
How do payments work?
The initial consultation is free. We walk through your business, your goals, and what plan makes sense, at no charge.
The $500 setup fee kicks in once we have an approved content list and page count and we start the actual build. If we're working, we're being paid.
The monthly subscription doesn't start until your site goes live on your domain.
Payments and contracts both run through HoneyBook, an all-in-one platform that handles your signed agreement, invoices, recurring billing, and receipts in one place. Accepts all major credit cards, debit, and bank transfers in Canadian dollars.
08
What's included in your social media management?
Social media is custom-built for every client because every business needs something different. We typically manage some combination of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, and we're happy to add other platforms if they make sense for you.
Posting frequency can run anywhere from once a month to four times a week, in any combination of single posts, carousels, or short-form video. Because the requirements vary so widely, we quote social media separately based on your platforms, frequency, and content type.

09
What's the 3D-printed marketing thing about?
We run an in-house 3D print farm, with multiple printers and all designs modelled by us. That lets us produce physical marketing pieces most agencies literally cannot offer: branded logo displays, trade-show signage, retail counter pieces, custom awards, keychains, and one-off promotional items, all of it custom-designed to match your brand.
Whether it's worth it depends on your industry. If you do trade shows, have a physical storefront, or want something that makes you genuinely memorable at networking events, ask. We'll talk through whether it makes sense and what it would cost.
10
Why should I hire you instead of a bigger agency?
Two reasons: cost and accountability. Bigger agencies charge $3,000 to $6,000+ upfront and then route you to a support queue when something breaks. We charge $500 setup plus a small monthly subscription, and you deal with John directly, the same person who designed your site, every time you need anything.
We work with fewer clients on purpose, which means more attention per project. If you need a 50-person agency with 30 specialists, we're not it. If you want senior-quality design at a small-business price, with one person who actually picks up the phone, that's what we're built for.
